APPOINTMENT NOTICE
Dr. Denis Garceau, Vice-President, Drug Development.
Dr. Louis R. Lamontagne, President & CEO of Neurochem Inc., is pleased to announce
the appointment of Dr. Denis Garceau to the position of Vice-President, Drug Development.
Dr. Garceau brings 10 years of expertise in clinical drug development to Neurochem.
Prior to joining Neurochem, Dr. Garceau was Associate Director with Hoescht Marion Roussell
(HMR) Canada where he was responsible for North American Clinical Programs. His therapeutic
areas of expertise are Cardiovascular, Gastrointestinal, Respiratory & Allergy.
Before HMR, Dr. Garceau did a post-doctoral Fellowship at Merck Frosst Canada in Research
(dept. of pharmacology) where he contributed to the pre-clinical development of several
anti-leukotriene compounds. Dr. Garceau is regularly a guest lecturer (Pharmacology) at
Université de Montréals Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of
Medicine. Dr. Garceau holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and has published, internationally,
numerous scientific papers on various pharmacological issues.
